Robert E. Brooks isn’t a career politician. He’s an Oklahoman who has spent his life working, serving, and learning from the people around him.
Growing up in Lindsay, Oklahoma, Robert was raised with the values of faith, hard work, and personal responsibility. He grew up on a small farm, where he learned early that nothing worthwhile comes without dedication and that neighbors help neighbors. Working alongside farmers and ranchers in his community taught him the importance of stewardship, integrity, and serving something greater than yourself.
Throughout his life, Robert has built a career around service. He has worked as a welder and machinist, in a distribution center, as a police officer, county jailer and dispatcher, sheriff’s deputy, detective, firefighter, EMT, and later as an insurance professional helping families navigate healthcare coverage. Each profession gave him a different perspective on the challenges facing Oklahoma families and reinforced one belief: government works best when it serves the people instead of itself.
Those experiences shaped Robert into someone who believes problems should be solved with common sense rather than partisan politics. Whether responding to emergencies, investigating crimes, helping families find healthcare, or simply listening to people across Oklahoma, he has seen firsthand that most Oklahomans want the same things: safe communities, good schools, affordable healthcare, honest government, and opportunities for their children.
That belief became the foundation of the Farmer Servant movement.
To Robert, leadership isn’t about gaining power—it’s about serving others. He believes elected officials are public servants, accountable to the people every day, not just on Election Day. That philosophy inspired his campaign for Governor and his commitment to creating one of the most transparent state governments in America.
His campaign is centered around four promises:
- Let the People Decide.
- Let the People See.
- Ask the People Before Major Decisions.
- Protect the Constitutional Rights of Every Oklahoman.
Robert’s vision includes giving citizens a direct voice in state government through the People’s App, increasing transparency through the People’s Table, protecting Oklahoma’s natural resources, strengthening education, expanding affordable healthcare options, modernizing government, supporting law enforcement while reforming the justice system, defending constitutional rights, and creating an economy where prosperity benefits everyday Oklahomans—not just those with political influence.
Rather than campaigning from behind a desk, Robert has spent countless hours traveling Oklahoma’s back roads, visiting small towns, meeting with families, farmers, business owners, teachers, first responders, and community leaders. He believes the best policies don’t come from political consultants—they come from listening to the people who live with the consequences of government decisions every day.
Robert often says, It’s a WE thing, not a ME thing.
Those words are more than a slogan. They are the guiding principle behind everything he hopes to accomplish.
He believes Oklahoma’s greatest strength has never been its government—it has always been its people. His goal isn’t simply to become Governor. His goal is to build a government that works with the people instead of above them, restores trust through transparency, and leaves future generations with a stronger, freer, and more united Oklahoma.
